The puffin's oversize bill may look a little funny, but it makes carrying several fish back to the nest a breeze! Here two puffins have each caught a fish for their baby. These dolls were carved out of wood in the Upper Volga region, then delivered to the Golden Cockerel workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia. The artists first hand paint the background, then apply various detailed elements. Finally each piece has multiple layers of non-toxic, water-based lacquer to make a marvelous gift that will delight children and collectors. SMALL PARTS, NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS OLD.
