This is a Puffin Planter Pot and it is constructed in the Woodendipity tradition of combing art with useful function. Each sculpture is signed by the artist, Robert DuLong, is dated, and displays a numbered wildlife tag. The planter measures 21 inches in length and can hold a pot approximately 5 inches in diameter. As with several of Mr. DuLong's career pieces they could become â€œcollectableâ€ and in his words, "For as long as the Good Lord permits me to continue at my workbench I will whittle these Puffins as an exclusive, limited edition for the Audubonâ€™s Project Puffin".
