This Osprey design shows the noble fish hawk picking up a mackerel, possibly to feed chicks in the nest. When Osprey grab their prey, they orientate them head first so they can be easily carried and don't slip through their talons. Designed by Michael Boardman here in Maine based on observations, sketches and photos.
